Why is this your passion?
As a nonprofit that has existed for 47 years in the Twin Cities area, we are passionate about serving the men and women in our local community. We believe each person should have the ability to receive physical, emotional, and spiritual support as they face pregnancy-related situations and circumstances. We walk beside each client that walks through our doors, offering them love and support to make informed and educated decisions in their time of crisis and need. It is through this care that we are seeing God change hearts, save lives, build families, and restore hope.
How do you plan on meeting these needs?
1. We provide practical material support to families through our social worker client care appointments and our parenting education program that is a learn-and-earn model. We give out diapers, wipes, formula, baby equipment, baby and maternity clothing, hygiene items, and referrals to other social service agencies in order to care for those who need extra help as they care for their young children, or are pregnant.
2. For our clients who are homeless and are pregnant or have small children, we can help them apply for grants and financial assistance, connect them with housing and shelter opportunities, and even have resources to help them furnish their homes. We also provide hygiene packs to any clients who may need them.
3. We offer prayer to each client we serve, as well as Biblical encouragement, and their own copy of scripture, if they are interested. Our desire is also for clients to get connected with local church partners if they are interested.
